New member: Havana World Music Festival

We're very proud to announce our newest member: Havana World Music Festival!

The festival Havana World Music (HWM) is a musical and cultural event that shows the richness of the diversity and mix of the location where it takes place: Havana, Cuba. 

In only 4 editions, HWM became one of the most important festivals of the country. 
Believing in difference as a source of inspiration, and in music as a motor of progress.

HWM opens a window from Cuba to the world, and from the world to Cuba! 



Next up: WOMEX

The Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (FWMF) will be present at WOMEX.

WOMEX – the World Music Expo – is the most international music meeting in the world and the biggest conference of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, talks, films and a showcase festival.

Over 2,600 professionals (including 303 performing artists) come together every October from more than 90 countries, making WOMEX not only the number one networking platform for the world music industry, but also the most diverse music meeting worldwide.

EFWMF Membermeeting

The European Forum of Worldwide Music festival will hold it's membermeeting in september in Bratislava, coinciding with World Music Festival Bratislava.

The World Music Festival Bratislava offers a 4-day introduction to the Central European and Slovak world music, jazz and folklore with special events to provide a space for networking and sharing ideas with local and international professionals. More information can be found at:



New member! Ciutat Flamenco

Organized by Barcelona’s Taller de Músics, Ciutat Flamenco presents the most innovative face of flamenco, opening its traditions up to new interpretations while maintaining flamenco as an art deeply rooted in Spanish culture. The festival is a platform and meeting point for stirring up interest in flamenco, reviewing and experimenting with it. It is open to other disciplines, in particular to new trends and emerging projects that follow an experimental line of work.

EFWMF going to Tallinn!

The EFWMF will hold it's Annual General Meeting and Member Meeting in Tallinn, coinciding with Tallinn Music Week. 

Held each spring in Tallinn, Estonia, Tallinn Music Week is a city festival with an extensive music and arts programme and a new business conference – a weeklong celebration of talent, curiosity, creativity, freedom and equality. The 10th edition of TMW will take place in Tallinn, Estonia from 2nd April to 8th April 2018.
