Plan ahead: 5th edition of Katowice JazzArt Festival

The 5th edition of Katowice JazzArt Festival will take place from April 25th to April 30th 2016.

The festival starts and finishes with a strong Scandinavian kick off. The whole program, however, differs from subtle piano solo of Jack DeJohnette, ladino chants performed by Yasmin Levy and the whole range of greatest Polish jazz and cross-over projects such as RGG, Raphael Rogiński and Oleś Brothers.
International Jazz Day and the final of JazzArt brings AUKSO in MOTION - finest accordeon trio with AUKSO Chamber Orchestra.
Visual arts and its placement in Katowice's urbanscape are always the strong side of the festival: 3 documentaries, exhibition opening (Philip Paquet - the auhtor of visuals for "Graphicology" by Brussels Jazz Orchestra) special scenography and viral promo on major streets of Katowice will accompany the concerts, as well as the jazz writing workshops conducted by Andrey Henkin - the editor of The NYC Jazz Record.

EFWMF @ Visa For Music next week!

The EFWMF will be attending Visa For Music (Rabat, Morocco) next week.
Come and meet us at our stand (210, second floor) or during speed meeting sessions!

Visa For Music (VFM) is the first professional market of Africa and Middle-East musics. The project is born from a paradox : on the one hand, the lack –or even the absence- of visibility of African and Middle Eastern artists at an international level and, on the other hand, there is a presence of a very important artistic dynamism and musical creation that these musicians need to be recognized for.

So, Visa For Music aims at highlighting African and Middle Eastern artists.

Visa For Music is an essential and major meeting place for professionals of the whole music industry, whoever they are and wherever they are from. Visa For Music aims to be a sharing platform for the defense and promotion of the musical sector of African and Middle Eastern countries.
