With performances, workshops, and networking opportunities, the festival highlights the unity and creativity that define Nordic folk music. We’re excited to see what this growing community will bring to the world stage.

New member: Monopolele Mediterranean Ukulele Fest

We're very happy to welcome Monopolele Mediterranean Ukulele Fest as a new member of the Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals! 

The Monopolele Ukulele Festival, launched in 2022 in the charming coastal town of Monopoli, is more than just a music event—it’s a celebration of connection, cultural exchange, and Mediterranean tradition. Organized by the Associazione Voltare Pagina, the festival highlights the ukulele as a universal instrument that brings people together, transcending borders and genres. Since its debut, Monopolele has drawn artists and enthusiasts from across the globe, firmly establishing Monopoli as one of Europe’s ukulele capitals. With its vibrant performances, inclusive workshops, and warm community spirit, the festival embodies the joyful essence of music and cultural harmony.

FWMF-FESTIVALS HEADING FOR MANRESA FROM 10-13 OCTOBER

Travelling from 3 continents, fwmf-festivals are gathering in Manresa for meetings, networking and musical discoveries. Generously invited by Fira Mediterrània de Manresa they're looking forward to connect with the other professionals attending.

Fira Mediterrània of Manresa (Catalonia-Spain) is a performing arts fair rooted in Mediterranean tradition. It has two main areas of focus: popular culture (based on a dialogue between traditional, regional culture and creative innovation) and international music. It has been held every year since 1998 and has become a setting for exchange professionals that sell and buy productions.
